Party Time!
We had a great time celebrating LB's birthday with family and a few friends today. My dad and Linda were able to make it for the weekend and see their grandbabies. It's been great spending time with them. LB got to play with B. and ML., plus got to see his baby cousin. B and Little Bear played outside in the sandbox and "watered" my lawn with fresh sand. My Daughter chose to sleep through the entire party, only to wake up 20 minutes before everyone left. Oh well! LB got some very nice gifts from our guests. As a matter of fact, he even recieved a special present from Grandpa and Grandma that Daddy was REALLY excited about. I'm never going to see my husband in the evenings anymore! Yes that is an X-Box 360 in the picture. Thank you Grandpa!
Martha who?
Martha F-ing Stewart has nothing on me today! Many of you know that I am not the best baker in the world. Frankly, I suck at it usually. I love to cook. Cooking you don't have to follow the rules. You can add a pinch here and there, skip a direction and it usually is fine and tastes damn good. Baking... not so much. I've made many a flop of a dessert, but not this morning. Ladies and Gentleman, I made LB an Elmo cake for his family party today. I couldn't believe how well it came out and it tasted good too!
Marvel at the pictures as I did!

Kate's Wedding
Mike's and my friend, Kate, was married on Saturday the 11th. Kate was responsible for this Family in many ways. She is the one who introduced us! Kate asked me and Rebecca to be her Matron and Maid of honor, and both of us accepted. Of course I forgot my camera, but Diana was lovely enough to send me some of her pictures. We all had a great time celebrating.

Happy Birthday Little Bear
My boy is 2 today! He spent a few hours with his daddy, mommy, and sister, before Mike left for Oregon. LB likes to sing the Birthday song with us, but using his own veriation of the lyrics:
"Happy to you, happy to you"
So cute! We are going to officially celebrate his big day next Saturday when my dad and Linda are here. It was just going to be too much to plan and execute this weekend, being that I was a Matron of Honor last night! (More on that later.)
LB, you have brought so much joy in my life. I am blessed and lucky you are here in this world. I can't imagine life without you. You are so smart, funny, and a wonderful big brother. I love you with all my heart. I'm the luckiest mommy in the world. Happy Birthday my big boy!

New Baby!
And the award for Parents of the Year goes too....
Me and Mike!
My poor poor son. Last night on a mission to get some more milk, he stepped upon the step stool, tipped it over and bumped his nose. It got so swollen so quickly we thought he broke it, so off to Kaiser Mike and LB went. It was 8:15 at night. His bed time. Turns out it isn't broke, just bruised. Thank GOD! He does look like he's been boxing. I believe Grandpa D took boxing lessons in his youth. Maybe LB will do the same?
And not to be left out, a picture of my sleeping princess!

Realization
I go back to work in 26 days. I have no idea how I'm going to do it. Getting us all out of the house to take LB to school this summer has taken forever, between nursing, feeding him, collecting all the crap we take with us. " ****".. is all I have to say about that.
I wish I could figure out a way to make money from home and NOT have to pay for daycare.
