Success!

Last night before bed, LB told Mike he needed to poop! No prompting, no bribing, he just did it! He was so proud of himself. He looked at it and said to Mike, "Daddy, it looks like snakes." "Yes it does. If you poop on the potty all the time, it will look like snakes." "Oh, I like snakes!"
Today when asked if he pooped at school, he announced, "No mommy, I didn't make a snake."
God love him.

New Trick

Baby girl has learned to blow Raspberries. Yesterday, LB looked at her as she blew one at him and said:

"No, no, Bibi! No pitin!"

I guess maybe he was listening when I told him to knock off the spitting?????

Bad Blogger

I've been so lax lately at even ATTEPMTING a post. The kids are great. I'm back at work. We're learning how to get out of the house in a timely manner. I haven't been late yet. Go me! Baby Girl has learned how to take a bottle, and even a bit of formula. That gives me a break. I don't have to get up in the middle of the night to pump to keep up with her increasing hunger.
We've had a fun few weeks going back to the zoo, a housewarming party, a play date with friends in MD, and running tons of errands.
Little Bear is doing great at school using the potty. They give them jellybeans when they use it. My son now grabs his crotch and yells "beans!" when he is wet or has to go to the potty. Can't wait for him to do that one in public. LB also got a new pair of shoes. Poor thing was out growing his sandals. ANOTHER $50 on a pair of Stride Rites. I wish my kid could wear elcheapo Payless shoes! Since I'm using naptime to update, I'll have to post some pictures soon.

On the way to school...

LB noticed the infant carrier installed next to him. He was a little confused.

Momma? Was 'at?

That's the baby's seat.

Babe sit?

Yes my love. That seat is for the baby.

He began to understand a little bit. At least he spoke about it the entire 30 minute ride to school! Too cute!

Over heard this morning....

While we were all grumbling this morning, and getting up, Mike asked LB if he was thirsty.

"Would you like some water?"

"No."

"Would you like some milk?"

Head shake and a "No."

"Would you like a beer?"

"Yea!"

Oh boy. He is my son.

Revision

Ok, maybe he's not as excited about school as I orginally thought. We pulled into Target this morning, and he squealed "Yeah! Scool!"
I guess he just likes getting to where he's going.

#1 Reason I stopped feeling gulity.......

about sending my kid to daycare. For the past week, whenever we pull onto campus, he squeals "Scoool", claps his hands, and yells "Yeah!" He can be so darn cute.

More words!

I ran into LB's classroom for a few minutes today to get a few pictures for his Valentine's cards. I had know idea he said the word "zoo". It was story time, and they were listening to books on tape with the books, and he started to jump up and down and yell "zoo, zoo!" I thought it was "choo, choo" which he says at home with his train. He amazes me everyday. I can't believe how fast they grow up!

It's Over

Last night, I distinctly heard my son utter a word that I wasn't yet ready to hear from his sweet little mouth. As I tried to grab the fork from him during dinner to help him finish, he said it. MINE!
Oh the terrible two's are starting early.
