Recent Discovery

Up until about 3 weeks ago, my son had no interest in TV, characters, or anything of that nature. Sure we introduced him to Thomas the Train, Seasame Street, Winnie the Pooh, but he wasn't interested at the time. OH MY GOD, how that has changed in such a short time. Elmo is like crack to my 18 month old. He can't get enough of him. He owns one shirt with his likeness and calls him Melmo. He owns a stuffed animal of Elmo that he recieved on the day of his birth. Now he can't sleep without him. I pulled out a new toothbrush from my storage of bathroom supplies, and low and behold, it was an Elmo toothbrush. He now brushes his teeth 4 times a day to see Melmo. We invested in Elmo's World DVD's. He will sit in the highchair and wear the nebulizer face mask on his face for the whole 20 minutes it takes to give him both meds. This is AWESOME! I now can pack breakfast and lunch and go start the car in the time that it takes to complete the nebbie! I don't know how I feel about my kid watching 20 minutes of tv 2x's a day, but hey, the nebbie gets done without a fuss!

Grandma is now going to look for a TMX Elmo for him. I hope we can find them easier now that Christmas is over!

That's tooo adorable. My Bridget had an Elmo fetish as well, and she also called him Melmo. (We used it for her 2-way radio name that year at the islands!)...I think about the same age as Thomas. I have her Elmo pink fleece hoodie and Elmo bathing suit (Size 2T) hanging in my little shrine in the laundry room. (I put their faves that they've outgrown on hangers on the wall). As for TV 20 minutes, 2x a day.... Hey, whatever works!! TMX Elmo? Best of luck!

Best of luck to Grandma! She's the one who mentioned buying it.
