It has been! Little Bear is running around full force. He no longer is content sitting in his stroller or the buggy at the grocery store, while momma or da (as he refers to us) pushes him around. Mike and I have found that a harness has been a LIFESAVER! When I was a toddler, my mother had a leather harness for me that was attached to a dogleash. My parents fondly refered to it as a "Heather Teather". My brother gave one to Little Bear as a gift for his birthday. It's an updated version. It's a soft, stuffed animal "back pack" with a leash attached to it. When he's older, he can use the back pack to hold a few small toys. Best thing ever!!!!!! I recommend this to all my new mom friends.

How come I am not at all surprised you had a "Heather Teather" as a toddler? We could have used one of those for a certain college cruise I was on with you! :-)
No kidding. I do recall enough of that evening to remember several people worried about whether or not I'd fall over board!
I think I remember that thing!! I thought it was a leash for the cats!! lol
